Movia Pinot Nero 2004

In Uncategorized on October 22, 2009 at 4:38 pm

Hadn’t planned on blogging today. Took a walk around Manhattan and stopped in at Resto on 29th street to say hi to the owner, Christian. I wasn’t all that hungry, so I just ordered a beer and an appetizer. Then I saw that they have 3 different wines from Movia by the glass, and I got a taste of the 2004 Pinot Nero, and it is amazing. The nose is spectacularly complex and expressive, with cherries, raspberries, ginger and herbs. The palate is equally impressive, full of fresh and dried fruits, potpourri and black tea. I am very impressed with this wine.

Also, after the wine, beer, and Bitter Ballen, I discovered I was hungrier than I thought, so I had a burger, which is just as awesome as I remember.
